A long time coming. I finished a miniature!

While it doesn't seem like much, it actually is! I've not completed a mini is probably 15 years. This is my first fully painted mini in a long time and I am quite proud of that fact. I'm not the best painter, and it does look a lot better in person; but I am quite proud of this.

All he needs is a name now... and some sealer...

Oh, and I've started on the Chaos Lord next.

Chaos Color Test series 2

I started blocking in some colors. I've already done two passes of highlighting the red, I've not done final highlight with an orange yet however. I don't think the pictures are showing the highlights all that well as they are pretty light highlighting.

What do you think?

Keep it Simple

I couldn't sleep... This was bugging me and I couldn't leave it unfinished...

Simple is ALWAYS better. Now this version I like!



I still have to finish wrapping the wire armature in Greenstuff to complete the Tentacle. But this is his final shape.

SO, I had an extra plastic Sorcerer body left over.

I've kind of thrown this together... But I am not certain if I like it. I could use some comments and criticisms, and some advice.

Trimming the guy down went far better than I expected and from the chest up, he looks kick ass... I need new legs for him badly...

Sorcerer's Apprentice

So, made another Sorcerer. I'm trying to use existing parts and I'm running out of good ones... This guy doesnt look as good as I'd like but its probably the best I can do for now...

I need something for the top of his staff...I dont know what to use.. Any suggestions?

Heroes on the Cheap 1.75

Woot! Just finished building my first Sorcerer. I used my last Warrior Champion body so I wont be able to make my General yet... But still, it turned out much better than I expected and I love the changes I made from the first attempt to this version.

Parts used:
Warrior Champion Torso
Warrior Champion Sword arm sans Sword hand (I lopped it off at the wrist)
New Genestealer hand
Knight Champion head
The book is from the High Elf Dragon Mage sprue that I trimmed down and added a Greenstuff tentacle to it.

Modelling Heroes on the Cheap.

I've not talked much about my choices for heroes and lords for my Army List yet... Still trying to decide what to take... Two things that are certain, BSB and at least one Chaos Sorcerer. I've even got them somewhat modelled up. Here is more BSB. I got an extra Standard from the new Knights kit from a friend. It works really well! What do you think? As you can see, these guys are built on the cheap

I'm also working on a Sorcerer. I'm having a bit of a problem decided which one looks better....
