A Walk down past Memory Lane

I've been cleaning out some of my Closet of Shame. I found some more goodies.

First up, my first two Space Marines I ever painted. These are all that's left of my original Rogue Trader era army. The 60+ plastic Beakies I used to have got melted into twisted junk during a road trip back from a Tournament in Richmond, VA. Not only did I lose my first game to Dave Brockie of GWAR, but I lost my whole army that day too... Seems kind of fitting lol

A Medic (Not called Apothecary yet)  and a Communications Officer

I also farted around with the idea of starting an Eldar army at one point. This was my first Warlock. Back then, they could have Power Fists, so I did one of my first conversions. Turned out nicely.

This proves my Love affair with Phoenix Guard and High Elves goes all the way back to 4th Edition WFB. This is the only miniature that remains from that army... When 5th rolled around I got really disheartened with WFB at the time and made a trade with someone... I got seriously shafted... It still burns... Oh well.

These are some Chainmail Minis I painted back when the new edition of Chainmail came out. LOVED that version... Was so pissed at WOTC for dropping the game like a hot potato and started putting out the schlock that was their craptastic pre-paints... No... not bitter at all lol!

These are some random painted miniatures I did. the fellow in blue was my first attempt at wet blending. Blues and Greens are colors I seem to be able to do well.

Next Commission Project: Magnetized Tyrant

Started work finally on the next commission project for a friend of mine.

Fully Magnetized Hive Tyrant/Swarm Lord/Flyrant.

While this is not a hard build, the complexity of it is making it take a bit longer than expected. I'm probably looking to be using nearly 30 magnets in total. Every option will be available to this kit, so well worth the effort (and cost) to do. It will still come out cheaper than buying 3 GW kits...

Next will come the wings. Holes are pre-drilled, but getting them to align could be tricky... We shall see how it goes after a short break.

Despite more issues with Finecast, and having to wait for yet more Blasted Standards to arrive unbroken... I was able to get two of the good standards mounted to their standard bearers.

Chaos Space Marine Squad

Been knocked out due to sickness, but I did manage to finish the CSM squad once the other Chosen with Bolters came in.

Yes, that's right. I am using Chosen with Bolters to make my CSM squads. Mainly because I do not like that the CSM models look so out of place next to the newer models... It's jarring enough to give my minor OCD fits...

But I think they turned out rather well.

I also converted two Chosen to be Plasma Gunners. These are the Plasma Guns from the new Raptors kit.

More Commission Work

I've taken on a few more Commission pieces for a friend of mine. I got sidelined with the sickness, but I was able to finish these before then.

Keep it Simple

I couldn't sleep... This was bugging me and I couldn't leave it unfinished...

Simple is ALWAYS better. Now this version I like!



I still have to finish wrapping the wire armature in Greenstuff to complete the Tentacle. But this is his final shape.

I've kind of thrown this together... But I am not certain if I like it. I could use some comments and criticisms, and some advice.

The Rise of Tzeentch

New Army shots. This is everything I have assembled for Warriors of Chaos, and will be mostly used for my 3000 point army.

So, Warshrine is done. I like how it turned out. Its pretty bog standard, only two minor conversions (Bad Moon Idol Head, and Staff). It was a fun kit to assemble, it went together a lot easier than I expected.

 couldn't sleep, so I added a little something to bring my Warshrine closer to Tzeentch
